Town Clerk

The Town Clerk is considered the center of town government and is a major source of information for the residents.

Town Clerk:

  • Issues licenses and permits including marriage licenses, dog licenses, business certificates & raffle permits
  • Maintains General By-Laws, Zoning By-Laws, Personnel By-Laws, and Traffic Rules and Regulations
  • Maintains vital records: birth certificates, death certificates and marriage certificates
  • Records all appointments and resignations of all town officials.
  • Overseas all local and state elections
  • Maintains the Annual List of Residents and conducts the annual town census
