Treasurer

The Treasurer/Collector's Office is responsible for the billing and collection of revenue for the Town of Shrewsbury.  We are located in the center of the Town Hall building through the front door into the main lobby and the 1st office on the right.

Payments may be made after hours by depositing your payment, no cash please, in the gray mail box (marked "Town Bills") outside the front of the building.

Responsibilities


  • Administration of the town's debt
  • Federal, state and county reimbursements
  • Investment of all town funds
  • Maintenance of all properties taken for nonpayment of taxes
  • Motor vehicle excise taxes
  • Public auction or disposition of all foreclosed properties
  • Real estate and personal property taxes
  • Timely disbursement of all payments to vendors, town employees, and retirees
  • Water and sewer bills
