Important Information Regarding Changes to Permits and Inspections 


Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Inspections:
Smoke/carbon monoxide detector inspections are now being done in person. The inspection can be scheduled between 8-8:30 on the day of inspection, by calling Fire Headquarters, at 508-841-8522. A virtual inspection may be requested at the time of calling, based on certain health risks and other factors related to COVID-19.

Open Air Burn Permits:
Open air burn permit applications can be submitted via US mail or in person at Fire Headquarters, along with a check for $25 made payable to the Town of Shrewsbury. Click the link below for a printable version.

These events remain, as always, unscheduled and unpredictable. These incidents are time sensitive, life threatening, and labor intensive. You never know when they will occur, but when they do, you need lots of trained people immediately.
